Gumboot Launches 1 July at 10:00 AM

Gumboot is officially launching on 1 July at 10:00 AM, and we’re excited to finally open the platform up to the public.

Gumboot has been built to make local work easier. Whether you need a job done around the house, on the farm, at a business, or in the community, Gumboot gives you a simple way to post the job and receive offers from people nearby who are ready to help.

For people looking for work, Gumboot makes it easier to find jobs in your area, apply for the ones that suit you, and send an offer based on what you think the job is worth.

The idea is simple: post jobs, find work, and connect locally.

From launch day, users will be able to create an account, browse the map, post jobs, apply for available work, message each other, and manage jobs through the platform.

To help keep Gumboot safe and reliable, users who want to post jobs will need to add a valid card to their profile before creating a job. Workers who want to apply for jobs will need to complete ID verification by uploading an accepted form of ID and a selfie. This helps build trust between both sides and gives everyone more confidence when using the platform.

Once a worker sends an offer, the job poster can choose to accept or decline it. If the offer is accepted, the job is scheduled and both users can communicate through Gumboot messages.

When the job is complete, the worker can upload photos of the finished work and mark the job as complete. The poster can then review the completed work and also confirm completion.

Gumboot holds payment during the job process to help reduce risk for both sides and create a safer experience for local jobs.

This launch is just the beginning. Gumboot will continue to grow, improve, and add new features based on feedback from real users.
